Race For Autism Announcement & Regulations

After the success of the previous Virtual Race For Autism Gr in April 2021, which attracted over 3,000 participants from around the world, the Race For Autism Gr returns in a trail race at the largest park in Attica, the Metropolitan Park of Antonis Tritsis, on Saturday April 2 promoting awareness and acceptance of autism celebrated on this day around the world.

The organizer of the race is the Civil Non-Profit Company Race for Autism Gr, under the auspices of the Attica Region, the Management of the Metropolitan Park "Antonis Tritsis", the Municipality of Ilion and the Ministry of Labor, Welfare and Social Solidarity. The Deputy Minister of Labor, Welfare and Social Solidarity Domna Michailidou will give the start at 10km race and the Mayor of Ilion Nikolaos Zenetos at 5km race.

Race schedule:
Secretariat Operation: 07:30 a.m.
Start of the race 10 km: 09:00 a.m.
Start of the 5 km race: 10:45 a.m.

Participation right:
Men and women over the age of 12 for the 5 km and over the age of 16 for the 10 km have the right to participate, who fully and unreservedly accept the terms of participation in the event and will run at their own risk (or under his own responsibility). their guardian in the case of minors) and must have recently undergone a medical examination to confirm their ability to take part in long-distance races.

In addition, they must hold a valid full Covid-19 vaccination certificate or a valid Covid-19 disease certificate.

Race time limit:
Runners will have to complete their effort in 90 minutes for the 10 km race and 60 minutes for the 5 km race. Otherwise they will move at their own risk on the route.

Registration Period - Registration Limit:
The registration period will end on Wednesday, March 30. The Race has a limit of a total of 1,000 entries and in case this number is completed earlier, the registration-payment period will end.

Participant bag:
For the best service and to avoid delays on the day of the race, participants have the opportunity to receive their participation bag on Friday, April 1 and Saturday, April 2 from the secretariat before the race.

The receipt of the participation package will be done strictly with the demonstration of the following:
• Email with the participation number
• Identity card or Passport
• Certificate of full Covid -19 Vaccination or valid Covid-19 disease certificate.

Terms of participation:
- All participants responsibly declare that they have recently undergone medical examinations and are perfectly healthy to participate in the present sport activity.

- They have a valid vaccination certificate or disease certificate and agree to show it to the organizers whenever requested.

- They fully accept responsibility for any injury or accident that may be caused to and from the venue of the race, or during it, as well as to anything that may occur during the race such as falls (which may be caused in contact with other participants) bad weather conditions, traffic but also poor condition of the road.

- They waive any requirement from the organizers, sponsors and anyone directly or indirectly involved in the conduct of the race and accept that the above persons bear no legal responsibility for anything that may arise during their participation.

- Participants give their approval to the organizers to use their photos or videos from the race, or any other recording without having any financial or any other requirements.

- The registration will be considered complete once both the electronic registration and the payment of the respective costs have been made. Banking or other expenses are borne by the participant.

- Registrations are personal and are not transferred to third parties at any stage of the registration period.

- In case the participant, while he has completed his registration, does not have everything mentioned in the paragraph "Eligibility to participate", the participation package will not be delivered to him and the participation cost will not be refunded.

- Cancellations of participation and refund of participation costs will be made until Sunday 20 March 2022. After this date there will be no cancellation and refund of costs.

- In case of postponement of the event, the entries will be transferred for the new date set by the organizer. If the event does not take place on a new date within 2022, then € 5 will be deducted for each participation for administrative expenses and the remaining € 10 will be refunded from the participation cost.

- The organizers have the right to change the terms of participation after making the relevant announcement.
